Francis Medrano is an internationally-toured professional dancer, choreographer and creator & founder of Power Dance and Lundu Afrofit. His unique methods combine his afro-peruvian ancestral rhythms and his passion for fitness.
Black Power dance combines Latin rhythms such as salsa, bachata, cumbia, reggaeton, and Peruvian folk rhythms with a variety of basic aerobic steps. These are easy to learn sequences of exercises that work core muscles on the body. Lundú Afrofit is an aerobic dance system to exercise the soul, the body, and the heart. It is inspired by Afro-Peruvian dance styles and music and other Afro Latin musical genres.

Singer-songwriter originally from Colombia, Angela Puerta grew up in Ibague, Tolima, a city known as Colombia’s musical capital. Her musical heritage is full of African, and Indigenous influences that painted the path of most Colombian traditional music since Spanish colonization. From an early age, Angela started performing Rock-Pop music by Alanis Morrissette, Soda Estereo, Janis Joplin, The Cranberries, and Shakira.
After landing in Madison in the Fall of 2013, Angela Puerta obtained her Master’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning from the UW-Madison in 2015. She has been working for the City of Madison as a City Planner while working on various music projects such as her solo project “Angela Puerta”, APamigos (a band for kids), and Grupo Candela.
Angela is a four-time MAMA award winner and Best of Madison 2019 and 2020 Latin Artist bronze and silver star.
